The kids have really been enjoying all the snow we've had. The one snowstorm we couldn't even find our driveway!.JPG)
Dominic & Gino had all kinds of fun playing on the drifts! ....ok, we did too! We'd jump in them to see how far down we'd fall. Than we'd throw Dominic in the hole!! What fun can be had w/children :).JPG)
We even lost Copper a couple times! haha
Dominic has been doing GREAT in pre-school. His progress report came back & I couldn't be more proud of him. I know it's only pre-school....But I couldn't help feel a little proud & that maybe we're actually doing something right. To quote what his teacher wrote "he is such a warm, loving boy! He is great friends with everyone in the classroom. He is always smiling!"
He is right where he needs to be & his teacher is confident he'll have no problem going to Kindergarten in the fall. HE might not have a problem...but I'm not ready to think about it yet...still makes me teary-eyed. I can't believe he's going to be turning 6 yrs old in only a couple months.
Gino enjoys wearing his back-pack whenever we drop of "D" at school. It will be another couple years till I take him to pre-school though. He is talking SO much & in complete sentences! It's amazing to me still some of the things that come out of his mouth. The other morning for example Dominic & I went into his bedroom to get him up (we heard him talking) & he looks at us & says "what are you guys doing in my room?" It was too funny!
He was also looking for a movie & he couldn't find it so he says "dang-it!" He hears Dominic say that a lot. He repeats EVERYTHING Dominic does or says.
He's also a very typical little brother. He will do anything to annoy Dominic! Sometimes it really is funny. We shouldn't laugh at him as much as we do...but don't get me wrong. He still gets sent to his room quite often.
He's really into pretend play. Him & Dominic have little puppies they play with all the time (Mater & Lightning).
We still have SO many boxes still downstairs that I decided it was time to do something with them. So they started off as a train...than we turned them into race cars (Flintstones style). They have fun "driving" them around & around & around the couch. We put lots of stickers on them too & they colored them.
Things have been a little stressful lately for Andy at work. They are trying their best to avoid having to lay-off the employees. Andy has been working 3rd shift this last week & will be this coming week too. We are thankful he's still working, but 3rd shift is NO fun. I just pray that this economy straightens out soon. It's so frustrating!
Me, I finally took the plunge & colored my hair...time to get rid of all the grey hairs motherhood has created! I feel much better. Getting older hasn't really bothered me as much as my hair turning grey....that I can change :)
